I think one of my favorite piece of technology is a player (from vinil, cassettes, cd's to small format that we use now.). Music is very vital for me since I born, I enjoy it, play it, make it.
I got (Gift of my dad) my first cassette player, Walkman in 1998, I was 4 years old and the first cassette i had was Led Zeppelin 1 and that was fantastic, really opened my mind and blew it so hard. I started to study about music, musicians, rock and roll, R&B, and some pop artists. My walkman at today is working, but I use the cellphone to listen music, but the walkman, and cassette have more definition and better sound that mp3 has in the cellphone. I use the cellphone everyday, but my walkman... I keep it
as a relic. I like the player of cellphone the way I can take it to anywhere. I like both: cellphone for the portable, and walkman for the definition and quality of the sound.
Another favorite piece of technology is my laptop, my mother gave me it to help on my career. it is very important to my, because I play on it, I can communicate with my family and watch youtube. I use my laptop everyday, and I like it because I can do things that in person I can't do it. like send instant mails (because send letters take so much time), watch a international football game, etc.
Hope you comment!
I share your taste for the relics.
ReplyDeleteYour Walkman is so hipster dude.
ReplyDeleteLed Zeppelin is a awesome band!
I also feel music is just essencial in life. You made me think of a walkman I had in my adolescence. It was a White Phillips, later I had a sony, too. A really groovy one. Now I also listen on my cellphone when I am in the Street.
